As volunteers for St. Vincent de Paul, whether working at the financial aid desk, making home visits, or serving in the food pantry, we are usually on the giving end. Seldom do we have the opportunity to witness the gratitude of our clients in their efforts to thank the Society.
The following notes were sent by friends in need.
St. Vincents,
I want to thank you for the davenport, mattress, box spring and food.
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Debbie*
To all the members of St. Vincent de Paul, volunteers and all around good people,
Just a note to thank you for the bags of food that I receive now and then when times get a little tough. It's greatly appreciated. Also appreciated are the good humor people in the back handing out the food. Their sense of humor always brightens the day!!
So thank all of you for your help - it doesn't go unnoticed.
Sincerely,
Mary*
To all St. Vincent Personnel and Volunteers:
I just wanted to write a note to thank you for all the groceries from the food pantry. I lost (my) income a few months ago and coming in once a week to the pantry has helped a great deal. So thank you very much for all of your efforts in getting food to people who really need it.
I also would like to say that the people who volunteer have such warmth and vitality for what they do. They are always upbeat and add humor to the day. I usually end up walking in the door with humility, but I leave with a laugh and a smile because of these wonderful people.
Thank you all so very much for your kind hearts, your time, your laughter and smiles.
Love,
Jane*
